Nancy Wagman is a Policy Analyst focusing
on health policy issues. Nancy is a co-author of MassHealth
and State Fiscal Health: A New Look at the Effects of Medicaid
Spending on State Finances; Kids, Cuts, and Consequences: How
Cuts to Effective Programs Hurt Our Children; and Real Cuts
– Real People – Real Pain: The Effects of the Fiscal Crisis
on Women and Girls in Massachusetts, and she is a regular contributor
to the MBPC Budget Monitors. Nancy's previous experience
includes running WIC programs in Boston, working as a policy and program
analyst at the state Department of Public Health, and serving as the
planning director of an elder homecare agency where she was responsible
for assessing community service needs, planning service delivery, granting
funds to local agencies, and legislative grassroots advocacy. Nancy
was the Senior Editor and Assistant Director of the Massachusetts Senate
Post Audit and Oversight Bureau, where she worked on reports evaluating
a variety of state agencies and programs. Nancy holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree from Oberlin College, and a Master in City Planning from
the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
